CLASSWORK – This week’s focus will be going through the process of writing to complete a personal narrative and the study of coordinating, correlative, and subordinating conjunctions.

HOMEWORK :

MONDAY – Complete handout on superlative degree.

Study for tomorrow’s test on proper adjectives and the degrees of comparison for adjectives and adverbs.

TUESDAY – Complete review sheet on possessive nouns.

WEDNESDAY – Complete personal narrative rough draft.

THURSDAY – Complete exercise 5 on p. 387.

READING:

This week’s focus will be on the study of irony, foreshadowing, and mood – and the reading of “The Landlady,” “The Monkey’s Paw,” and “The Third Wish”. We will also compose a comparison/contrast paragraph of two of the stories.

HOMEWORK:

MONDAY – Finish reading “The Landlady”. There will be a quiz on the story tomorrow.

TUESDAY – Use each of today’s vocabulary words in an original sentence.

WEDNESDAY – Do questions and answers # 2,3,4,5 on p. 81

THURSDAY – Finish reading “The Monkey’s Paw” and do the Reading Check on p. 100.
